Plans Advancing Our Mission
El Camino College advances its mission and vision through institutional goals that guide the College’s long-term priorities. These goals are supported by five interconnected plans—Education, Facilities, People, Technology, and Accessibility & Safety/Security—that provide direction for each major area of the College. While these plans guide the College’s overall direction, El Camino’s integrated planning process uses regular, data-informed review to adjust priorities and timing as needed to best support the College’s mission.

Education Plan
This plan explains how El Camino College will shape its academic and support programs over the next 10-years, with current program snapshots and growth projections.
Facilities Plan
This plan lays out upcoming capital projects tied to instructional needs, enrollment trends, safety, accessibility, and community changes, showing how the campus may evolve physically.
People Plan
This plan focuses on workforce development and culture, describing how the College will support employees so they can deliver high-quality services and advance student success.
Technology Plan
This plan explains how El Camino will enhance the tools and systems that support instruction and operations while anticipating emerging technology needs.
Accessibility, Safety & Security Plan
Environmental Scan
This environmental scan brings together key internal and external data to support El Camino’s integrated planning process. This analysis helps to ensure the College’s mission and strategic priorities are grounded in evidence and responsive to student, community, and workforce needs.
2025-28 Strategic Plan
El Camino will achieve its 10-year institutional goals through a series of three-year Strategic Plans. The 2025–28 Strategic Plan translates the long-term goals into specific outcomes and initiatives for implementation through 2028.
